QUETTA: In a suspected targeted killing incident, a citizen from the Shia Hazara minority community was killed and another injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire on their vehicle in Quetta’s Kandahari Bazaar area on Sunday.
Police sources said the injured man, identified as Nazar Hussain, was rushed to nearby Civil Hospital where he was under treatment.
They said a team of the policemen had reached the site as soon as the matter was reported to the station and now investigation was underway to track down the culprits. “This appears to be an act of targeted killing,” the police officer said.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
